- Training errors
- Too much, too often for too long
- Incorrect technique - even slight errors!
- Imbalances in strength & flexibility around joints
- Poor body alignment
- Failure to warm up & cool down
Top Tips
- Watch the 10% rule: to allow for recovery don't
increase your training more than 10% per week.
- Never apply the 'no pain, no gain' approach
- Reduce the intensity, duration and frequency of play
- Have your play analysed and correct your technique
- Always warm up and cool down
- Avoid old, wet or pressureless tennis balls
- Check your footwear
- Improve your fitness, strength, flexibility & core stability
